About Pinnatec Auto

Pinnatec Auto is the automotive division of Pinnatec LLC, a San Diego–based engineering firm dedicated to precision automotive engineering solutions. Born from a passion for clean design and real-world performance, we blend mechanical, electrical, and software engineering in one seamless package.

Our Mission

To give automotive enthusiasts the confidence and control they desire—on the street or track—through robust, elegant, and easy-to-use auto enhancements.

What We Do

Design & Systems Engineering
We turn ideas into production-ready hardware and software. Our team handles system architecture, mechanical design, electronics, embedded firmware, and integration—always with manufacturability, serviceability, and safety in mind. We also use simulation and data-driven development to shorten cycles before anything hits the road.

Prototyping & Tooling
From quick proofs-of-concept to pilot builds, we produce functional prototypes in-house—printed, machined, and hand-assembled—then refine them with the same fixtures and end-of-line tests planned for production. This “design → prototype → production” continuity mirrors best practice at top automotive engineering firms.

Validation & Testing
We verify performance on rigs and in real conditions. Bench work includes electrical load/transient testing, thermal and vibration exposure, and environmental checks guided by common automotive standards. For electronics, we select parts and stress-screen to motorsport-grade practices. Road and track sessions close the loop with data logging and iteration.

Manufacturing & Quality Assurance
We specialize in low- to medium-volume builds. Each unit is serialized, programmed, and 100% function-tested before it ships, with assembly and test documentation kept for traceability. Our approach follows vertically integrated models used by leading engineering manufacturers to keep speed and quality aligned.

Documentation, Support & Lifecycle
Every product ships with clear install/integration guides and versioned firmware release notes. Post-launch, we monitor field feedback, issue updates, and maintain service parts so products stay reliable over time.
